Thank heavens theres no mention of "Veet" in the breed standard yet Deans!

Another typical Irish summers day in Newtownforbes for todays show. This is the 3rd show in a row where the wet gear came out, even the webmaster finally bought raingear. Not that it did him much good, sitting down to put the rainproof trousers I sat in a puddle of water and ruined the whole effect. I'm not cut from the same sheet of madness as these dog people!

22-March-2009 Sligo & District Canine Club - All Breed Show
Maria (Mrs. Maria McEntee O'Sullivan), - Judge in Group 7, 8, Classes Handling, Junior, Ladies & Gents. - A lovely day out and thanks to Martin Skeffington and the Sligo & District Canine Club for inviting Maria to Judge in their show. In the McEntee opinion a show that was always worth filling the car with cockers and kids to attend, even after a four hour drive (30 years ago - now about 2 and a bit - even with Bill still driving).

One story to share from this sligo many years ago… Bill had two cockers who won their classes and were up in best of Breed. Maureen (Marias mother) who like myself is shy of the show ring, was persuaded to show the "second" dog. Guess who won? - Maureen of course!
The Tables turned, Maria filling in the Judges book, while William stewards.
Thanks to Sligo & District Canine Club for looking after us so well and Ber who had dinner ready for the tired crew after we returned home.

Not a great day for Baysway but an enjoyable Paddies day outside, lovely bright day but the wind decided no amount of sun would warm us.
The Show was very well attended and a special hallo to the Laura and Chloe Mullen from Balrath, Co. Meath and their parents Donal and Mary, who while visiting the show and stopped by to
say hallo. The two girls prefered the Siberian Huskies, but that is allowed for the moment :-).
